6.1. Definition of Cookies and Application

Cookies are small text files placed by a website server on the User's computer or other device (such as mobile phones and tablets) during their visit, to allow the provision of a page and to "remember" some information related to that browsing, to associate and distinguish users. In this sense, it can be said that cookies are electronic identifiers.

MagicBook uses cookies to allow for better technical functioning of its applications, to remember certain browsing preferences established by the User, to offer relevant services to Users, to identify traffic in the application, among other purposes better indicated below.

The cookies used in this application may be first -party – that is, set by MagicBook itself – or third -party – that is, set by other domains.

The cookies used on MagicBook websites may capture non-sensitive equipment data, such as browser used, version, monitor resolution,

and behavior on the portal.

6.2. Cookies used in MagicBook applications

MagicBook uses two distinct types of cookies in its applications: (i) operational/technical; and (ii) analytical. Information about each type of cookie, by category, can be found below.

It is important to note that, when indicated, the "maximum validity time" of a cookie refers to the period of its retention after accessing MagicBook websites for the first time. Users can reduce this period and delete these cookies through their own browser settings, as explained in item 6.4.

- Enabling essential functionalities, such as software and antivirus;

- Displaying our content appropriately to your screen size, connection speed, and browser type;

- Remembering your access; and

- Understanding your browsing behavior and how the platform is being used. 1

) Typically, such cookies are only set in response to your actions that correspond to a service request, for example: setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling out forms on one of our platforms.

2) Analytical cookies, on the other hand, are dedicated to recording application usage data so that we can improve it in the future, such as page audience index data and traffic sources. This data helps us to know which pages are the most and least popular and to see how users move around the application.

MagicBook uses Google Analytics analytical cookies to generate aggregated statistical usage data. It should be noted that the statistical information generated for MagicBook is aggregated – that is, there is no individualization.
